An old friend of mine, Michael, got back in touch with me lately, and shared some great VOSIM work he’d done in Reaktor. I especially liked his VOSIM remix of a Lazyfish Ensemble called “StereoDigitalRandomNoiseSource.” The original ensemble was pretty brilliant, but the use of VOSIM for the sound engine creates a crusty organic quality that I really love. He’s also added a few controls that make it more tweakable. It shows a whole different approach to using VOSIM synthesis and makes awesome graphics/animations to go with them, to boot. You can check out Michael’s soundcloud here:
I normally over-explain things, but I’m not very good at breaking down other peoples’ Reaktor Ensembles, and looks like there is some Reaktor Core Voodoo going on in there, too. So I’ll just let the ensemble speak for itself.
